Joshua GlassmanA tenor, conductor, educator, and arts administrator based in Boston, Joshua Glassman is no stranger to Vermont. In college, he taught at Point CounterPoint Camp and performed at the Salisbury Meetinghouse in 2022 before officially taking over as Artistic and Executive Director of Otter Creek Music Festival in 2023. His in-laws live in Shoreham, and he is dedicated to strengthening the Central Champlain Valley's musical offerings.
A choral teacher with a decade of experience at the high school and collegiate levels, his performance career highlights include solo performances with the Grace Church Choral Society and Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players in New York, debuting the role of Henry Crawford in the American premiere of Jonathan Dove's Mansfield Park, three seasons with the Princeton Festival Baroque Chorus, and numerous professional opera and chamber choir appearances up and down the East Coast. He currently sings with Nightingale Vocal Ensemble and Cantata Singers in Boston and serves as the Individual Giving Officer for Boston Children's Chorus, where he was also an assistant conductor for three seasons. Josh holds degrees from the University of Michigan (BM '12, Vocal Performance and Music Education) and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University (MM '15, Vocal Performance). |
